The club was founded within "Jewish Maccabi Society", a multipurpose
cultural society for Jewish people. It played mostly in regional championship
of Bucharest and in B League. In the summer of 1935, at Tel-Aviv, the
club won the international Jewish competition Maccabi. In 1940, within
Romanian fascist regime, team's activity was forbidden, and it reappeared
in 1945. In 1947-48, under name Ciocanul it is merged with another team,
Unirea-Tricolor, founding a new club, Dinamo Bucharest. |
