Oțelul and Poli Iași have showed that teams from the bottom of the table still can play football. Coches Grigoraș and Popa sent in the field two offensive teams. Oțelul started the match shy, the first shot at the post being of visitor team, by Bâlbă (4). Oțelul gave the response in 17 minute, when Sergiu Costin shot near by the post. After the break, first opportunity to score had Poli too, by Onofraș (55), but the ball rejected by Vâtcă couldn't be pushed by Poli player in empty post. Oțelul remembered that last round beat the leader and started to attack the post of Brăneț by D.Stan (70), Bălțoi (77), but without a result.

Even Dinamo made a mediocre match, the team from București opened the score in 24 minute, by Florentin Petre, who profited by a mistake of more defenders of Pandurii. At Pandurii, just Marius Sava tried to score. After the break, the players of Pandurii looked more motivated, Hizo sent the third striker, Glișcă, and domination of "white-blues" was total, the fans from tribunes being sure that will score against Dinamo. But keeper of Dinamo was in his best day and rejected all the balls. With three minutes before the final, Claudiu Niculescu did what he knows best: he scored from free kick, from 22 metres.

With just one striker, Liviu Mihai, and with Carlos and Todoran non-existent, "the sharks" were an easy catch for "the students", quickened by international Ionuț Mazilu. The first goal has showed the class of Mazilu. Farul has succeeded to shot to Sportul post just in 65 minute, a weak shot which wasn't a problem for keeper Stăncioiu. Mazilu scored again in 68 minute after a gift from Farmache, who made a mistake at 6 metres of the post. Tibor Moldovan scored in 78 minute after the single pass of Farmache and it seemed that Farul will try to equal. But Mazilu scored for the third time and stopped all the plans of Farul.

With a good moral after 2-2 with Steaua and 1-1 with Rapid, Vaslui started the match offensive, being supported by a full stadium (4.000 fans remained outside the stadium because it wasn't any more space from them inside). The stadium has quaked in 9 minute when Croitoru scored from 8 metres. The hosts continued the attack, but Gloria woke up: Oncică remained one to one with keeper Huțan but shot a little over the post in 19 minute and Rus headed in 39 minute from 3 metres but didn't find the post. Ionuț Badea was close of 2-0 in 46 minute when he missed a penalty kick and then, Negrean missed the equalization in 69 minute. Bukviæ assured the first victory of Vaslui in 80 minute when he headed from a corner of Sfârlea.

Supported by 25.000 fans, Poli dominated from the beginning, but in first 30 minutes they could do nothing because Bacău defended very well. The score was open by Alin Stoica, who shot powerful after a good pass from Bălace. The team of Hagi played better then, the players of Bacău staying in their half of the field. At the end of first half Mansour Guaye shot in the bar and in 45 minute Bacău had the single opportunity to score, but Trofin shot weak from 8 metres. In second part, Alin Stoica continues his recital, offering a genial pass to Mansour Guaye, in 51 minute, who defeated goalkeeper Manea. Timișoara continued the offensive, but Simek and Glusceviæ shot directly in the keeper, in 63 and 77 minutes. The spectators were making waves and not even quivered at the last opportunity of Bacău, when Trofin shot at a few centimetres of the post of Marius Popa.

Jiul succeeded the first home victory from this season, humiliating CFR Cluj. Even CFR is known as a team which plays better away then home, Jiul dominated the match from the beginning till the end. Drăgan opened the score in 26 minute, from 7 metres after a cross from Paleacu, then it was the turn of Paleacu to score, from penalty-kick, after Toma fouled Ilin. When CFR tried to play better, Miclăuș received red card. It followed three more goals and another elimination, of Jula. CFR scored the honour goal in 77 minute, by Minteuan. The match finished 5-1, and coach Șunda took his revenge after in summer he was replaced at CFR with Dorinel Munteanu.

Rapid played very poor in first half, woke up after 70 minute and scored when the spectators were ready to leave the stadium. Probably the players of Argeș were scared not by the first eleven of Rapid, but by the players from the bench: Daniel Niculae, Viorel Moldovan and Mugurel Buga. Argeș played with three strikers, Costescu, Bilașco and Năstăsie. After Argeș started the match very offensive, they succeeded to score in 13 minute, by Costescu. The talent of Burdujan was cancelled by indolence, of Vasilache by lack of experience, and of Pancu by Daouda. In second half Răzvan Lucescu sent into fight V.Moldovan, Buga and D.Niculae. The last 15 minutes were played just in the penalty box of the hosts. The extra time has showed how fair and unfair can be the football. Moldovan scored in 93 minute from a simple phase, which made justice for Rapid, the team from Bucuresti deserving to win one point.

FC Argeș will play next match home, against CFR, without spectators. The Commission of Discipline of Romanian FA decided that because of poor organization from the match with Rapid. The organizer, FC Argeș, let free enter to the stadium, and in the moment when the supporters of Rapid arrived here the stadium already was full. Because of that it started fights between fans of Rapid and supporters of Argeș, many people being injuried. Coach Cârțu accused the leadership of the club for this situation: "Because of some people from the leadership of FC Arges, my team will play without spectators. They know to win money due to our work, but don't know to assure us all the conditions".

Even Olăroiu is a defensive coach, the match was played just in the half of Național. The attacks from Sevilla continued on "Cotroceni" stadium, but they smashed of a solid defence of Național, team trained by coach from Il Calcio, Bergodi. Steaua started the offensive but Dică (15), P.Marin (18), V.Iacob (30,32), Boștină and again Dică were blocked. The striker of Steaua, Victoraș Iacob, was fouled in the penalty area but the referee saw nothing. Iacob had rupture of clavicle and this season is over for him. Second half was the same, Steaua attacking all the time and Național not passing in the field of Steaua. If Olăroiu is a defensive trainer, then Bergodi is what? Constructor engineer of barrages in front of an important European river?
