After they eliminated FK Vétra Vilnius and Athletic Bilbao, CFR Cluj players seem to say goodbye to Intertoto after made a draw home, with AS Saint-Étienne. The team of Dorinel Munteanu started the match better, and after a first opportunity of Florin Dan, they succeeded to score. In 8 minute Dorinel Munteanu crossed from corner, Anca headed in bar, and Tilincă sent then the ball in French net. In 16 minute CFR could score again, from penalty kick, Anca being fouled in the box. The same Anca shot, but keeper Jérémie Janot guessed the corner and saved.
