British agent of striker Ionel Ganea, Garry Williams, declared today to Mediafax agency that Romanian player will transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers till the end of January, his next club being one of Leeds United, Cardiff or Coventry City.
"Ganea will leave Wolverhampton till the end of the month, following to play at Leeds United, Cardiff or Coventry. The leadership of Wolverhampton didn't want to prolong his contract which expires on July 2006. The player said that he wants to remain in England, because his family has accommodated very well here" - said Williams.
The agent of Ganea said that there were discussions with the team trained by Anghel Iordanescu, Al Hittihad from Saudi Arabia, but without a final. "They were interested but the discussions didn't continue"- added Williams.
Anghel Iordanescu said: "I have proposed to the leadership to buy Ganea, but the period of transfers ended and another one will be after two months. Unfortunately, I don't know what will make Ganea till then."
Ionel Ganea, 32-years-old, transfered at Wolverhampton at the beginning of 2004. He scored five goals in this season, after he has retrieded after an injury at ligaments.
