The agent Marcel Popescu said that coach of Wisla Krakow, Dan Petrescu, wants the Australian defender of FC National, Michael Thwaite, even from this winter, even his agreement with Polish club starts from 1 July 2006.

"According to the legislation, Thwaite will be the player of Wisla from 1 July 2006. Wisla wants the player now. What the chairman of National, Iacov, said that will send Thwaite to play in third division, it's a joke" - said Popescu.

Constantin Iacov said that even Thwaite has signed the contract with Polish club, he will let him go just after his contract will expire.

"Thwaite signed with Wisla, but we'll let him go just at summer. We need him. If he didn't play at the first team for six months, he will play for sure at the team from Divizia C, because we want to promote in Divizia B" - declared Iacov.

Michael Thwaite has signed a contract for 5 years with the team trained by Dan Petrescu. He said for official site of Wisla: "I have to play in European cups and in this way coach of Australia, Guus Hiddink, could call me at national team; in Romania I didn't have this chance. I had to do this step ahead and to sign with Wisla, team which always plays in European cups".

Thwaite also said that one of the reasons he chose to play for Wisla is that the team is trained by Dan Petrescu. "I have admired him when he was playing at Chelsea, especially he played on my position too. He is a very good trainer and I am sure that my value can rise having him as teacher" - added Australian player.

About the situation of Australian John Wayne Srhoj, Popescu denied that he would be on the list of Wisla. "To become the things so serious, Wisla must make an offer to National. But it's about other player... I can't say who is he or on which position plays" - ended the agent.
