Midfielder Mihaita Plesan has signed on Thursday a contract for 5 years with Poli Timisoara and said that he isn't sorry that leaves Dinamo.

"It means a lot for me that I will be trained by Hagi. He was the idol of my childhood and, in the end, he will be my trainer" - said Plesan.

The new player of Poli Timisoara said that he wants to win next year the title with the team from Timisoara. The general director of Poli Timisoara, Ion Craciunescu, said that the sum written by the press, 1,2 million euro, isn't real, but he didn't say how much has paid Poli for Plesan.

Mihaita Plesan was born on 19 February 1982, has 183 cm and 77 kg, his posision being defensive central midfielder. He played for the first time in Divizia A at Craiova, on 14 April 2001, in the match Universitatea - Astra Ploiesti (0-1). At Universitatea Craiova he played between 2000 and 2005, having 67 appearences and 13 goals. He played at national team of Romania for 6 times, debuting on 16 November 2003, in the match Italy-Romania (1-0). In the summer of last year, Plesan was transfered from Craiova to Dinamo, together with Moti, Guso, Daouda and Ilie Iordache.

For all five players Dinamo has paid 2 million dollars. In this season Plesan played 12 matches for Dinamo (858 minutes), scoring 2 goals. Gheorghe Hagi liked how Plesan plays and wanted to bring him even at Galatasaray in the winter of last year, when he was trainer of Turkish club, but he didn't succeed it. Poli has transfered in this winter Silviu Izvoreanu (Otelul Galati), Adrian Ilie (Politehnica Iasi), Alin Stoica (free player), Serbians Sreten Stanic and Vladimir Gluscevic (both from Rad Belgrad), Rares Soporan (Universitatea Cluj). Timisoara also obtained the transfer of Laurentiu Bus (Universitatea Cluj), but he will play at Poli from summer.
